At Microcomm, we consider ourselves primarily hardware designers, not programmers. There are others out there who excel at writing software. They call themselves computer scientists, though most of them have studied neither computers nor science. Nevertheless, if it's code you need, you should probably turn to a specialist.
OTOH (see, we do speak Geek!) the analog and digital domains have merged of late. When we first started out, all of our test equipment was manually operated. Today, most of it runs under computer control. So, we've had to learn to write a program or two, just out of self defense.
If your hardware has a digital interface, or if your system talks to the outside world, or if you find yourself doing the same microwave computations over and over, and are getting tired of pressing calculator buttons, then you may need custom software. Perhaps we can help. Email your requirements to our Chief Engineer. (But remember, he's still primarily a hardware kind of guy.)
