Jack Unger Jack Unger was Microcomm's first hired technician, during the company's first incarnation in the 1970s. Founder and President of Wireless InfoNet, Inc., Jack is a pioneer in the broadband fixed-wireless industry. Since 1993, he has personally designed and installed hundreds of license-free outdoor broadband wireless network sites and consulted on countless others. In 1995, he designed and deployed one of the first outdoor wireless Internet "points-of-presence" (WPOP). In 2001 Mr. Unger created and began leading the world's first vendor-neutral wireless ISP training seminar.

Between his early Microcomm days and the founding Wireless InfoNet, Mr. Unger worked for fourteen years in the Silicon Valley telecommunications industry for ROLM, IBM, Siemens, and NEC. He is also an experienced technical writer who has written numerous telecommunications hardware and software manuals as well as approximately 100 Cisco IOS Release Notes. Recently, he authored the book "Deploying License-Free Wireless Wide-Area Networks," published by Cisco Press. Mr. Unger currently lives in Los Angeles and provides wireless training, design, consulting, and troubleshooting for the broadband wireless industry nationwide.
