Vision and Mission Statements

Our Vision:

The Susquehanna Air and Space Museum seeks to promote an understanding of aerospace science and technology, by helping the general public to appreciate the various innovations that have come from the aerospace industry.

Our Mission:

to highlight this region's important role as a backbone of General Aviation, showing how Lycoming Engines, Piper Aviation, and others have helped to make aerospace history.

to promote aviation to the general population, through displays and exhibits within and outside of the museum.

to build a better understanding of such principles as propulsion, navigation, aerodynamics, and the laws of physics, through demonstration, interaction, and seminars, all open to the public.

to offer a place for students of all ages to learn more about our planet, and to follow mankind's quest to explore the universe.
