Board of Directors
The following individuals comprise the initial Board of Directors of the Susquehanna Air and Space Museum, serving without compensation:
Mr. Jon Zimnick

Prof. H. Paul Shuch
First Vice-PresidentAerospace engineer H. Paul Shuch is a retired college professor holding a Ph.D. in Air Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. The author of more than 600 publications, Dr. Shuch is a commercial pilot and instrument flight instructor, who serves as an FAA Safety Team Lead Representative. Paul spent more than a dozen years as the Executive Director of a major international educational and scientific corporation, and has served on the Boards of several other nonprofits, including the Piper Museum in Lock Haven PA. He is a Full Member of the International Academy of Astronautics, and a Fellow of the Radio Club of America, the British Interplanetary Society, and the European Radio Astronomy Club. Paul serves as Chief Flight Instructor for AvSport of Lock Haven, a Sport Aviation flight school located at the Wm. T. Piper Memorial Airport.
Mr. Dennis Hoffman
Second Vice-PresidentAircraft mechanic Dennis Hoffman trained at the Williamsport Area Community College (now PA College of Technology), Spartan in Tulsa, OK, and many manufacturer schools, including Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, CFM, Napier, Airbus, BAC, Boeing, Convair, Foker, McDonald Douglas, and Nord. Some of the aircraft that he has been certified to repair, inspect, run-up, and taxi include Convair 240, 440, 580, BAC 111, Nord 262, Mohawk M-298, Foker F-27, F100, DC-9, MD80, MD82, Boeing 727, 737-200 thru 400, 757, 767, Airbus A319,A320, A321 and A330. After 35 years in aircraft maintenance with several airlines, Dennis retired from USAir as Lead Mechanic with inspection certification of both domestic and international (ETOPS) operations. Dennis has been Sales Manager of an animal feed mill serving a three state area, Vice President of a photographic business, has served on the Boards of Directors of Clinton County Historical Society and Piper Aviation Museum, and held several positions in his church and labor union. His hobbies include bicycling and collecting antique bicycles, kayaking, collecting and restoring antique and classic cars, and gardening. He has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in the Gulf Coast area.
